Things are looking good for the UK-based exchange operator Betfair as they reported an increase in UK customer numbers by 250 percent, which lead to more valuable shares on the market. The company is now worth £2.3 billion.
This is mainly thanks to their CEO, Breon Corcoran, appointed in 2012, whose strategy was to move away from problematic markets in terms of gambling laws along other measures he may have taken.
His efforts got paid in full, as he received a £10 million bonus from stakeholders, along his annual salary estimated at £1.6 million. Not bad at all isn't it?
